Tuscan reflections

Even for me as a keen photographer things would seem a little odd: At every spot that has been shot for billions of times, a bunch of photographers would gather round their carbon tripods, waiting for (what they call) the right light.
Yes, there may be very much truth in what some say: that praise is not complete until shared*. And yet... it is a little as if you (being a man :-)) met a beautiful woman, and instead of asking her out for dinner you took her to a photoshooting and show the images round to all your friends...

Have we run down the rolling hills barefeet? Have we smelled the heavy aroma of the many roses we passed by? Did we drink the colours of the sunset? Did we listen to the larks' songs? Did we let ourselves be comforted by the gentle breeze?
Have we tasted and seen, how good God is?

*Got that idea out of "Desirig God", the author of which (John Piper) seems to have got it (among others) from C.S.Lewis. I mention that, because I think it well worth reading!
"... I think we delight to praise what we enjoy because the praise not merely expresses but completes the enjoyment; it is its appointed consummation.  It is not out of compliment that lovers keep on telling one another how beautiful they are; the delight is incomplete till it is expressed." (C.S. Lewis)
